The matter a leaver could still open

A firm does not have a security problem. It has an access problem, and it is sitting in last month's goodbye.

The matter a leaver could still open

The fee-earner had left. The matter had not. Three weeks later their login still opened the file, because closing it had been someone's job in theory and nobody's job on the day.

Law, agencies and consultancies lose time, and sometimes confidentiality, in the same places. A file in three inboxes. A shared password that was quicker than the real process. A draft still being typed from scratch because the last one cannot be found.

We rewrite access around the job, lock a lost laptop the day it is lost, and put Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace under an account the firm owns. An assistant may draft. It may not be given the file in a public chat box. Private AI is the version that stays inside.

The service desk already knows the setup, so the next call is not a retelling of the firm. If you are not sure who can still open the work, that uncertainty is the brief.
