Moves

The project people actually buy: leave the old mail and the shared drive, and arrive somewhere the team can work on Monday.

Moves

A move is not a setting. It is mail, calendars, files, the domain, and the week afterwards when someone cannot find the folder they have used for six years. We plan that week before we touch anything.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. We will say which one fits, including when the honest answer is to stay where you are and tidy it. Moving for the sake of a logo is a waste of a Monday.

The work is remote. Accounts, sharing, the records that have to come across, and a written list of what is deliberately being left behind. New starters after the move land in the new place, not the old one.

If the move is really a system that should have been built — a faculty record, a client portal, a process still living in a spreadsheet — we will split that out and quote it as software, not hide it inside a mailbox migration.

What that includes

  • Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, chosen for the way you work
  • Mail, calendars and the files people actually open
  • A plan for the cut-over, including what is not coming across
  • The domain and the records that decide whether mail is trusted
  • A week of cover afterwards, while people find their feet
